Since the KAIST launched “EEWS (Energy, Environment, Water, and Sustainability) Initiative” in 2008, the KAIST has worked to establish a multi-disciplinary research and educational system in order to innovate technologies and identify future research focus regarding natural environment, human health, and climate change. For more than 7 years, KAIST EEWS has promoted interdisciplinary research through this annual workshop. In the International Workshop on EEWS 2015 – Advanced Technology of Next Generation Rechargeable Batteries, we invited Technical University of Denmark as a part of KAIST-DTU collaboration, Japan, United States, and researchers from various department of KAIST. This workshop would provide a unique opportunity to share the progress on diverse fields of advanced technology of next generation rechargeable batteries and propose the direction future research.

We cordially invite scholars, academic researchers, practitioners, and students to participate and discuss the progress and future of next generation rechargeable batteries. We look forward to meeting all of you at the workshop.
