ABSTRACT

The structural features of monolithically ordered, hierarchical surface reliefs can be deterministically controlled by localized or co-operative holographic photofluidization of azopolymer. The observations of morphological evolution, presented by Seungwoo Lee, Jung-Ki Park, and co-workers on page 4412, address a long-standing problem: the origin of holography-induced surface relief grating formation onto azopolymer film in terms of azopolymeric photoflows and directional photofluidization
