Ultrasound-assisted synthesis of graphene oxide (GO)–manganese oxide nanocomposite (GO/Mn3O4) was performed without further modifi cation of GO. Intensive ultrasound could reduce reaction steps and temperature, enhance the reaction rate and achieve Mn3O4 phase. The synthesized nanocomposite highly promoted glycolysis of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) as a catalyst.
