KAIST와 함께 ASPIRE League 멤버 대학인 난양공대(Nanyang Technological University)에서 개최하는 UG Research Academy에 참가할 학생을 모집합니다.

 

관심 있는 학생은 아래 안내문에 따라 신청서류를 구비해 4월 24일(목)까지 신청하시기 바랍니다.

 

=  아    래  =

 

가.   행사명: NTU UG Research Academy (ASPIRE 활동) 

 

나.   분야: Sustainable Energy and Environment (water, energy, and climate change)

 

다.   목적:

-ASPIRE League에 속해있는 멤버 대학들의 학부 학생들을 초청하여 전문가로부터 재생 에너지에 관련된 최신 기술을 배우고 자신의 연구 프로젝트를 다른 학생들 앞에서 발표하며, 체험 학습을 통해 사례 연구

 

라.   프로그램 일정: 

-7월 13일-7월 17일: 상세 일정은 첨부파일 참조

 

마.   선발인원: KAIST에서 재학중인 학부생 5명

 

바.   선발기준:

    -현재 교수지도하에 진행되는 연구과제를 수행중인 학생 (Sustainable Energy and Environment 분야)                                                                            

-영어로 능숙하게 발표할 수 있는 학생

 

사.   선발(안)

-서류전형(1차): 영문 자기소개서, 영문 연구 요약본 및 관련 자료, 영문 성적증명서, 어학성적표 사본 또는 영어 능력을 증명하는 자료 각 1부

-영어 프레젠테이션(2차) 평가: KAIST 교수 3-4인으로 구성된 심사위원단이 동 연구에 대한 학생의 프레젠테이션을 듣고 직접 평가함

 

아.   선발일정(안)

    -4월 25일 서류접수 마감

    -4월 29일 연구 프로젝트 프레젠테이션 평가

    -5월 2일 결과발표

 

자.   제출서류: 4월 24일(목)까지 학과 담당자에게 메일로 신청 서류 제출 (김세림, sr_kim@kaist.ac.kr)

    -성적증명서

    -어학성적표 사본 또는 영어능력을 증명하는 자료

    -영문 자기소개서

    -영문 연구 요약본 및 관련자료 1부.

    **프레젠테이션 평가 관련 자세한 일정은 서류심사 합격자들에게 추후 안내 예정임.

 

차.   지원내용

    -난양공대측에서 싱가폴내 숙박비, 식비 등 지원

    -KAIST에서 항공료 (왕복) 지원 (이코노미)

    -여행자 보험 및 기타 여행비용은 학생 부담

 

 

첨부. NTU UG Research Academy 2014 Program Information

 

 

Nanyang Technological University, one of the ASPIRE League members in which KAIST belongs to, is holding UG Research Academy.

Students who are interested in the program, please submit the application to the department office by 24 April.

 

 

       A. Name of the program: NTU UG Research Academy (ASPIRE League activity)
    

       B. Field of study: Sustainable Energy and Environment (water, energy, and climate change)

       

       C. Purpose:  

- To provide opportunities for the students from ASPIRE League member universities to learn from experts the latest technologies related to renewable energy; present their research projects with the objective of sharing knowledge with their peers, and learn from case studies on field trips.

 

D. Schedule: 

- July 13th to July 17th: Please see the attached file for detailed information

 

E. Number of students to be nominated:

- 5 undergraduate KAIST students who are currently enrolled as a full-time student

 

F. Eligibility:

        - Students who are currently doing a research project under the in the mentioned field (Sustainable Energy and Environment)

        - Students who can give a smooth presentation in English

 

G. Selection Process

- Required documents to be submitted to International Relations Team

- Selected applicants will give presentation to 3~4 KAIST professors who will evaluate the students' research project

  

H. Schedule for selection

      - April 25th: Deadline for submitting documents to International Relations Team

- April 29th: Presentation evaluation

(Selected applicants will be notified by International Relations Team regarding specific schedule for the presentation evaluation)

- May 2nd: Result announced

 

I. Required documents for submission: to the department office by 24 April (Serim Kim, sr_kim@kaist.ac.kr)

- English CV

- Summary of the student's research project 

- KAIST transcript (printed out in English)

- English proficiency test (original or copy)

 

J. Financial support for students

- NTU will provide accommodation and food expenses

- KAIST will provide round-trip air fare (economy)

- Students will be responsible for travel insurance and other travel expenses
