기존 화학공학의 경계를 넘어 인류의 난제를 해결하고 미래 신산업을 창출할 융합 연구자를 모십니다. 화학공학 전 분야 지원이 가능하며, 특히 아래의 첨단 융합 분야 전문가들의 적극적인 지원을 기다립니다.

■ 지원자격 및 우대사항
 
1. 지원자격
- 우수한 연구 업적을 보이며 교육 및 연구에서 발전 가능성이 큰 인재
- 새로운 분야, 학문간 공동연구, 산업체 협력연구 등에 크게 기여할 수 있는 인재
- 본인의 핵심 연구 분야에서 박사학위를 취득한 인재 또는 취득 예정자
  ※ 단, 박사학위 취득예정자는 지원일 기준으로 9개월 이내에 최종논문심사에 통과(지도교수 추천서 제출) 할 수 있는 자로서 임용일 전에 박사학위 취득이 가능하여야 함
 
2. 우대사항
- 외국인 및 여성과학자 우대
 
3. 결격사유
- 국가공무원법 제33조 각호의 1에 해당하는 자
- 법률에 의하여 공민권이 정지 또는 박탈된 자
- 병역법 제76조에 따른 병역의무 불이행자
- 아동청소년의 성보호에 관한 법률 제56조에 의해 취업제한 명령을 받은 자
- 다른 공공기관에서 부정한 방법으로 채용된 사실이 적발되어 채용취소 또는 면직된 자로서 처분 일자로부터 5년이 경과하지 않은 자
- 부패방지 및 국민권익위원회의 설치와 운영에 관한 법률 제82조에 따른 비위면직자로서 취업제한 대상자
 
■ 전형절차/방법
- 1차: 서류심사
- 2차: 심층심사
- 3차: 학과 세미나 및 학과 교원인사심의회 심의
- 4차: 단과대학 교원인사심의회 및 교원인사위원회 심의 후 최종 임용 결정
(정년보장 부교수 및 교수 채용 시 교원인사위원회 심의)

■ 기타

Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at KAIST invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at assistant, associate and full professor levels.
Applicants from all areas of cutting-edge chemical engineering are welcome.
 
※ We are seeking interdisciplinary researchers who will transcend the traditional boundaries of chemical engineering to address critical challenges facing humanity and create future emerging industries.
Applicants from all areas of chemical engineering are welcome. In particular, we strongly encourage applications from experts in the following advanced interdisciplinary fields:
- Digital chemistry, self-driving lab, data-driven material discovery
- Clean energy, decarbonization
- Human health, biomedical
- Next-gen semiconductors, intelligent materials
 
The application window is open from Mar. 9, 2026 to Apr. 10, 2026.
 
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Applicants must demonstrate strong research potential and commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates with established records in research and teaching will be considered for a tenured position. Foreign national candidates and female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
