Abstract:

A scalable nano-fastener featuring a three-dimensionallyinterlocked interfacial structure between thehydrocarbon membrane and perfluorinated sulfonic acid-based catalyst layer ispresented to overcome the interfacial issue of hydrocarbon membrane basedpolymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. The nano-fastener introduced membraneelectrode assembly (MEA) withstands more than 3000 humidity cycles which is20-times higher durability than that of MEA without nano-fastener.
